All public authorities in the Cayman Islands, including the Ministry of Financial Services and Commerce, participate in the Cayman Islands Government's Freedom of Information (FOI) Act.
The FOI Act encourages openness, transparency, accountability, and greater public participation in decision making.
Information that relates to the Ministry is accessible either through the Ministry's publication scheme, or by submitting an FOI request to the Ministry.
The publication scheme includes helpful information about how the public can access these categories of information without filing an FOI request.
If the information you seek is not found in the Ministry's publication scheme then submit an FOI request.
Your FOI request must comply with these four requirements:
FOI requests can be emailed to: foi.mfsc@gov.ky
FOI requests can be sent via post to:
Ministry of Financial Services and Commerce
3rd Floor, Government Administration Building
PO Box 126
Grand Cayman KY1-9000
Cayman Islands
FOI requests can be hand delivered to:
Ministry of Financial Services and Commerce

The Ministry is required by law to respond to your request within 30 calendar days of receiving it. If we need an extension to process your request, the Ministry will advise you in writing within 30 calendar days of receiving your request.
